Christmas Ham
Christmas Ham
1 uncooked ham
|
Place the ham in a pot and add
equal quantities of beer and 7-up until the meat is almost covered. Boil the
ham on a low fire for 1 to 2 hours, turning it over half way.
Remove the ham from the liquid
and let it cool down. Remove the skin of the ham by peeling it back, leaving
the fat. Score the fat in a criss-cross pattern. Prick the cloves into each
corner of the criss-cross pattern.
Mix the brown sugar with the brandy. Pour over the top and add the canned pineapples. Bake the ham in the oven at 180°C until golden brown (approx. 40 minutes). Baste the ham with the glaze every 10 minutes or so while baking. |
