When working at the now taken over Aciacia Hotel, each time a tour group from Singapore was travelling back, they would assemble in the lobby with an iconic Corica Apple Strudel box in each hand. One day, a tour group appeared with NO Corica Apple Strudel's at all, and I asked them why? Apparently the airline had told them they were not allowed to hand carry them anymore. Imagine, a pastry so famous and desired, an airline has to ban them.
Well I haven't actually visited the Corica shop myself but have eaten their delicious apple strudel several times and also a few other pasteries. Its the best I've ever eaten, with fluffy clouds of cream and light apple nestled against crisp light perfect puffs of pastry.
