Restaraunt Review: JM Bariani House

So we are in KL and determinted to eat as much local food as possible. After visiting Giant, which is a cross between a KMart and Coles, we popped by JM Bariani House to take away a very very late lunch.

The staff are genuinly friendly and the bariani is tasty. The boys devoured it. They have an interesting picked dish when a pickeled fruit of some sort that float in ruby syrub like sugary jewls but when you bite into it, its all sour sour sour, not the dessert it looks like at all. A little bit of sour cuts through the oily richness of all the other dishes. The Beef Rendang, which is like a dry stew, was a bit hit and miss, some peices were soft and lovely, some were tough and rubbery. We also had some Rojak, which is a salad of fried toufy, pineapple chuncks and breansprouts with peanut sauce. That was also pleasent.
