C brought the family some honey cake a while ago, but yesterday at Fremantle Markets I got to see the store. It is made to a traditional Czechoslovakian recipe, all home made, with NO preservatives. Anything like that is good for my kids, I say.
It has layers of lovely soft cake between velvety honey icing, it has a subtle sweet but almost caramel flavor like a lot of American treats do. It's hard to describe, I've not had anything like it before.
This uniqueness is really genuinely lovely, you have to make the effort to find parking and wade through the crowd and buy a big box. Because you'll want to eat loads after your first bite, you might even have to share.
